What is this place
Vaghatin is a village in western Syunik, on the Sisian plateau, by the Vorotan.
Vaghatin lies on the high plateau of the Sisian country, away from the noise of the roads; fields and hayfields surround it, and the Vorotan flows below.
It is high here: the village lives by livestock, pastures and haymaking, by potatoes and barley in cold fields. The mountains stand all around — this is Syunik, a land of high ranges in the south of Armenia.
